What is a Safe Person?

Coucou is a service that checks on people, connecting users (Couees) to their safe people when needed. When signing up to Coucou, users should nominate three 'safe people', although it will work with just one. Being a Safe Person is a role that can be accepted or declined.  Being a Couee's safe person is truly an honourable role.

Safe people are only notified if;
(i) the Couee doesn't answer their final Morning Coucou reminder.
(ii) they are having an emotionally difficult day (determined from the Afternoon Coucou).
(iii) the SOS button is activated indicating an emergency i.e. immediate contact.

Once you accept this role, you may never hear from us again, and that's  exactly the way we'd like it because with Coucou, no news IS good news.

But if something were to happen at least we all know help or support is there.

You can also leave this role at any time. But we hope you won't.
Thanks for helping Coucou check on everyone.
